Barbara Piatti, the traveller painter, based in France, the Loire valley. She is a narrator, her paintings are talking about life, meeting people and at the same time they are a diary of her unsaturated curiosity. Piatti's work are philosophical and precious. She is a traveller, always looking for what could be next: invisibility, unspeakable things and what is proper for discoverers: to surmount horizons, to open new perspectives. She passed through Paris, Berlin, having artist residencies in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, the Philippines, India, Cambodia, Iran, Istanbul, New York, New Orleans, Mexico. Ephemere studios are built up everywhere, painting in oil on canvases with some reliefs and structures, sometimes on fabrics she finds and works with local colors. Piatti calls her City paintings "Short Cuts". Whatever she sets apart from the urban or nature cosmos is simply a testament of Piatti's joy of seeing.
