An American painter shaped by his environment, he grew up in the industrial city of Bridgeport, Connecticut, where factories, railroads, city streets, and nearby shorelines first sparked his love of light, structure, and place. Classically trained at Pratt Institute, his discipline was forged under the mentorship of portrait painter Frank Covino, instilling a lifelong commitment to daily practice and craftsmanship. After more than 25 years working and painting throughout New York City and the Northeast, he now lives in Vermont, drawing inspiration from its quiet, moody landscapes. Working primarily in oil, pastel, and charcoal, his paintings evoke a deep sense of belonging and emotional resonance. His work often described as Romantic and Transcendental has been featured in public and private collections and noted by Art New England and The New York Times.
